The Seattle Mariners have agreed to a deal which will allow them to acquire outfielder Mark Trumbo from the Arizona Diamondbacks.

FOX Sports’ MLB reporter Ken Rosenthal was the first to report the deal. Sources indicate that the Mariners will acquire both Trumbo and pitcher Vidal Nuno.
Arizona will acquire catcher Wellington Castillo, pitcher Dominic Leone, infielder Jack Reinheimer and outfielder Gabby Guerrero.
In a nutshell, this deal frees up much needed cap space for the D’Backs and gives them a plethora of prospects for the future.
Meanwhile, the Mariners receive some All-Star caliber power in their lineup. Seattle is hoping to win the American League West, and this acquisition should help.
