The French club manager has revealed that he wants Adrien Rabiot to stay at the club, but the decision may be out of his hands.

It was reported earlier in the week that Arsenal were getting closer to the signing of young French midfielder Adrien Rabiot, as he has just one year left on his current contract.

PSG had offered the 19-year-old a new deal but he turned it down — with Arsenal and Milan hot on his heels, Laurent Blanc admits there is not much left he can do.

The Parc des Princes boss said: “I want Adrien Rabiot to remain in Paris.

“The decision is not mine, he might leave the club. [But] he has had an offer to extend his contract with PSG.”

If Rabiot does make a move for the Emirates then he will fight for a place against top players such as Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil and Santi Cazorla.

The Frenchman would also be part of a growing youth system and could help the Gunners earn another piece of silverware after claiming the FA Cup at the end of last season.
