Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista is currently doubtful to play in Thursday’s game against the Baltimore Orioles, the team has announced.

While Bautista has shown the power-bat early, hitting four balls over the fence and helping 10 runs find home plate, he’s been very unlucky at the plate, sporting a .149 batting average and a .097 BABIP.

The shoulder injury may explain the “slow” start to the season, but we’re hoping the strain won’t keep him out of action long. In fact, Bautista mentioned earlier today that he was feeling better and may actually avoid landing on the 15-day DL.
