In case you haven’t had the opportunity to witness the high school phenom Kwe Parker, let me introduce you. He’s a 6-foot-2, 165-pound junior guard attending Wesleyan Christian Academy located in High Point, NC. Last year he played at Trinity Christian School in Fayetteville, NC.

He is ranked 51st in the ESPN60 top players for the class of 2016. Parker flat out has hops! He can simply jump out of the gym. Parker could enter the NBA dunk contest today, and have an opportunity to win it.

No, seriously. You watch the video and be the judge.

According to MaxPreps Parker averaged 11.5 points per game last season, and I can assure you that he’ll only get better. Athleticism is the key to getting noticed these days for young basketball players, and Parker definitely has that covered. Where he can improve on next is becoming a consistent outside shooter, which would take his game to the next level.

Even though he is labeled as a shooting guard, Parker may eventually take on a point guard role in college. So continuing to improve his ball handing would be beneficial for him as well. He does, however, have the ability to be a lockdown defender – as his lateral quickness is off the charts.

He already has offers from Boston College, Clemson, Virginia Tech, Charlotte and Wake Forest. He has also drawn interest from Duke and North Carolina.

Be on the lookout, you’ll be hearing a lot about Parker over the next couple of years.
