The No. 2 ranked center in the Class of 2015, 6-foot-10, 246-pound Diamond Stone, has committed to play his college basketball at Maryland.

He announced the decision on Twitter while a few NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 games were transpiring.

Stone attended Dominican High School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and will join a Maryland team that reached the Round of 32 this season. They will have Melo Trimble, Robert Carter, who transferred from Georgia Tech and had to sit out a year, Jake Layman and incoming freshman Anthony Cowan on the roster next season.

He considered offers from Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, Connecticut and Arizona, before choosing Mark Turgeon and the Terrapins.
